Alice was born in 1984 in southern Arkansas, to a family who established the first Chinese restaurant in her hometown. She attended Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston, taking courses in Printmaking and Studio of Interrelated Media, and eventually moved to NYC to make it as an Artist. After 12ish years of Brooklyn Adventures, she relocated where she is now in Providence, Rhode Island to once again be an Artist.
She’s an illustrator, cartoonist, writer, and overall visual humorist. Alice enjoys karaoke, playing music, watching television & motion pictures, listening to podcasts, looking at things in museums, and singing to her dog Wally and her son Gus.
Illustration
Alice's work is graphic and hand-drawn, inspired by Western and Eastern pop culture, the current political climate, and her upbringing and existence as a first-generation Chinese-American. Her playful style showcases her unfiltered humor and commentary on everything around her while taking life apart one laugh-cry at a time. It has been described as irreverent, bold, and edgy with elements of the grotesque.
Production
Since 2011, Alice has worked as an Integrated Producer/Project Manager for places such as Huge, Droga5, and Spotify. She's produced work for brands including Google, TD Ameritrade, HBO, JP Morgan Chase, Air Wick, and Strongbow. While Alice’s advertising focus is on social media, her work also includes site development/design, product development, and experiential production. She's making a portfolio site dedicated to this portion of her life but up-to-date information can be found on her LinkedIn.
